1. The organizer of 37th PZU Warsaw Marathon is Warsaw Marathon Foundation. Contact details available on


1. The race will take place on September 27, 2015 in the streets of Warsaw.

2. The race will start at 9.00 am. The starting line will be closed after around 20 minutes after the start signal.

3. The distance of the course is 42.195 km. The course is approved and certified by Polish Athletic Association (PZLA) and IAAF.

4. Every kilometer of the course will be marked with vertical and horizontal signs.

5. The start area will be divided into pens. The participants are to enter the appropriate pen according to the color of the starting number. The color of starting number is set on the basis of result declared during filling in the registration form. The organizer do not guarantee that the participants who will settle the entry fee after August 31, 2015 will get the pen (the color of the starting number) in accordance with declared result.


1. The time of the race is limited to 6.5 hours.

2. The participants who will fail to complete the race within the time limit are obliged to leave the course or come to the finish line by especially prepared “END OF RACE” bus.


1. Refreshment stations with water will be located every 2.5 km starting from 5th kilometer. Additionally, on every second refreshment station starting from 10th kilometer bananas and isotonic beverages will be available.

2. Time splits will be taken at kilometers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and halfway.


1. Only individuals who are at least 18 years old or who will turn 18 at least on the day of the race, i.e. September 27, 2015, are allowed to participate in 37th PZU Warsaw Marathon.

2. In order to participate in the race each participant is to undergo identity check in the race office.

Working hours of the race office:
September 25, 2015 (Friday) from 12.00 pm till 8.00 pm.
September 26, 2015 (Saturday) from 10.00 am till 8.00 pm

The address of the race office will be announced later.

Attention! The race office will be closed on the day of the race.

3. Every participant will receive in the race office an individual race kit with, among others, starting number, safety pins and keepsake T-shirt. Attention! We do not guarantee that participants who will settle the entry fee after August 31, 2014 will receive the T-shirt in required size.

4. In order to receive the race kit every participant is to present in the race office a personal race card. The race card will be available to print out from participant profile around 2 weeks before the race. It is also possible to receive the kit on the basis of ID. No medical certificate is required. The organizer reserves the right to check data of people receiving the kit by checking their ID.

6. In order to receive someone else’s race kit it is necessary to present race card signed by that person and the copy of that person’s ID.

7. The participants of the marathon are obliged to follow the rules of the race and PZLA.

8. Every race participant will receive: starting number, attention during the race, possibility to use refreshment stations, medical care and keepsake medal. Additionally, the organizer will provide medical care, changing rooms, massage, deposit for the time of the race and showers after the race.
9. The deposits: the participants will receive a special deposit bag in the race kit which will allow to leave a deposit in a special deposit area. The deposits will be given back only on the basis of starting number.
In case of lost starting number the organizer is discharged from liability for giving the deposit to someone else. Attention! It is forbidden to leave valuable objects and documents in the deposit.
10. Every participant who is willing to book free sleeping place before the race has to inform Warsaw Marathon Foundation about it by sending an email to
until August 31, 2015. The organizer provides free sleeping place in a sports hall. The organizes does not provide neither mattresses nor sleeping bags. Notes about granted sleeping place will be available in the race office. Only after presenting this note participants will be allowed to enter the sports hall. It is forbidden to bring and consume alcoholic beverages and other stimulants in the sports hall as well as to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages and other stimulants. The participants who will break this rule will be automatically dismissed from the sports hall.

2. The on-line registration will be closed on September 20, 2015. After this date registration will be available only in the race office in its working hours:

September 25, 2015 (Friday) from 12.00 pm till 8.00 pm.
September 26, 2015 (Saturday) from 10.00 am till 8.00 pm

with the provision that only 200 starting numbers will be available in the race office.

People who will settle the entry fee after September 20, 2015 and will not receive the confirmation of getting the starting number will have to present the confirmation of payment in the race office to get their starting number.

3. The limit of regular entries is 7000


1. To participate in 37th PZU Warsaw Marathon it is necessary to pay the entry fee.

The rates are as follows*:
until August 31, 2015 – 60 EUR

until September 13, 2015 – 70 EUR

after September 13, 2015 – 80 EUR

People who will settle the entry fee after September 20, 2015 and will not receive the confirmation of getting the starting number will have to present the confirmation of payment in the race office to get their starting number.

2. If a payment is made in insufficient amount (e.g. as a result of exceeding the deadlines listed in this rules and regulations) the remaining difference to the amount that should be transferred according to the date of the first transfer must be paid by the participant

4. People born in 1950 or earlier pay 50% of the entry fee applicable in a given time period. Attention! Only people who will send the registration form and settle the entry fee until August 31, 2015 will be entitled to the discount mentioned above. After this date the required entry fee is as listed in the point number 1.

5.People who have Subscription Card of BIEGANIE magazine are entitled to 15% discount from the entry fees listed in the point number 1. Attention! People born in 1950 or earlier are not entitled to combine the discounts – the valid discount will be the one mentioned in the point number 4.  

6. As soon as the entry fee is transferred to the bank account of the organizer a race number will appear on the start list at next to the participant’s name.

7. The organizers are not liable for the loss of registration form, money order or bank transfer by the fault of the post office or the bank.

8. Once paid, the fee is not subject to any reimbursement. It is not possible to transfer the paid amount onto another participant once it has been paid. In case of resignation from taking part in 36th PZU Warsaw Marathon, it is possible to transfer the paid amount onto another event organized by Warsaw Marathon Foundation or onto subscription of BIEGANIE magazine, the fee will be lowered by 20 PLN (as a operational charge) but the necessary information must be sent to the organizer until September 11, 2015

9. The participants who have finished all 36 editions of Warsaw Marathon are entitled to take part in 37th PZU Warsaw Marathon for free.
10. People who want to take part in the marathon in a wheelchairs with manual driver are obliged to send email information to the organizer: .


1. The following categories will be held during 37th PZU Warsaw Marathon:

General men and women

Age categories men and women:

- W-20 M-20 (year group 1997-1986)
- W-30 M-30 (year group 1985-1976)
- W-40 M-40 (year group 1975-1966)
- W-50 M-50 (year group 1965-1956)
- W-60 M-60 (year group 1955-1946)
- W-70 M-70 (year group 1945 and over)

Open Team Polish Championship (category regulated by separate regulations);

Branch categories : academic-lecturers, academic-students, bank employees, insurance institutions employees, journalists, education employees, military services, medical services, civil servants and lawyers. Branch categories are held only separately for women and men.

3. The basis of category classification is electronic measurement. Special measuring mats, which will indicate the presence of the runner in the place, will be placed along the course. The participant who will not be recorded by the mat may be disqualified.

4. According to the rules of PZLA the classification of participants in general category will be set on the basis of gross time (measured from the start signal) The rest of categories will be set on the basis of net times (measured from the time of crossing the starting line)

5. Every participant will receive an information about both gross and net times in final results.

6. The results of branch categories will be announced in the internet in three days after the race.
7. Written complaints about the results can be sent to untill September 28, 2015, 6.00 pm. The complaints will be considered within 24 hours and final and official results will be announced on October 5, 2015.
8. The certificate of completion of 37th Warsaw Marathon will be available to print out in 14 days after the race at


1. Every finisher of 37th Warsaw Marathon will receive a finisher’s keepsake medal.

2. The finishers of places 1-3 in general and age cateories  will receive a keepsake trophies.

3. The organizer may offer other trophies and prizes in categories of their choice.


1. During the run all participants must have their start numbers attached to the front of the their race tops. Covering start numbers in part or in whole or its modification is forbidden under the penalty of being disqualified.

2. Staying on the route of the 37th Warsaw Marathon without a valid start number is prohibited. People without valid start numbers will be removed from the route by the service crew of the run. No inline skates, bikes, nordic walking sticks or other devices are allowed without the organizer’s permission. Running with dogs is also prohibited.

3. A random obligatory doping control will be carried out after the race.

4. The organizer assures personal accident insurance up to guaranteed sum of 5,000 PLN. Every participant is obliged to sign the declaration of acquaintance with rules and regulations of the race. By signing the declaration participant agrees for giving to him/her first aid by medical and paramedical services and for medical treatment and the transportation of the participant to safe place in case of emergency by services approved by the organizer.  The participant notes that participating in the run is connected with physical effort, natural risk of accident, body injury and physical trauma (including death) and material loss. Additionally, another risks which are unforeseeable now can occur. Signing this document means that the participant considered all the risks connected with the run and will start the run on his own liability.

5. All the decisions made by medical service about the continuation of  the run are final.

6. The organizer may offer other trophies and prizes in categories of their choice.

7.The organizer takes no responsibility for cancelling or postponing the race without giving any reason.

8. Only the organizer of  37th Warsaw Marathon have the right for the binding and final interpretation of these regulations. If any of these regulations will be considered fully or in part as invalid or impossible to execute the rest of the regulations will stay valid. 


1. To take part in 4th Open Team Polish Championship are allowed:

a) sport clubs which have legal personality – can be represented only by the members of the club

b) running groups which have legal personality -  can be represented only by the members of the group

c) running groups without legal personality but which undertake regular running activities as trainings or running events organization and which took part in other running events under the same name – can be represented only by runners who take part as a part of the group regularly;

d) representations of firms and institutions   can be represented only by its employees.

2. Team has to constitute of at least 5 people including at least one woman. There is no upper limit of a team.

3. The participants who are part of the teams are obliged to follow the rules and regulations of 37th  Warsaw Marathon. Each participant can represent only one team.

4.The captain is the only person who is responsible for the team. He/she is the only person who:

* registers the team for participation in the team classification,

* decides about the line-up of the team,

* acts on behalf of the team,

* contacts with the organizer.

5. As the final result of the team shall be regarded the sum of five best real (net) times achieved by its members including minimum one of a  woman. The winning team is the one whose sum of five above mentioned times is the lowest. In case the run is completed by fewer than five competitors representing the team (including at least one woman), the team shall not be classified.

6. The captain registers the team by sending the registration form:

7. In case of the same results of teams the position in the final results will be set on the basis of the number of team members (the bigger- the higher place) and next on the basis of best times in a team
