"High Five Race" Rules

1.Maraton Warszawski” Foundation is the organizer of the race.

2. Date: 29 September 2013; start at 9:30.

3. Time limit: 1 hour.

4. Start area is located in Warsaw on the Poniatowski Bridge, near the National Stadium.

5. Course: Poniatowski Bridge, de Gaulle roundabout, Poniatowski Bridge, Wybrzeże Szczecińskie, Ryszard Siwiec street.

6. Distance: 5 kilometers.

7. Participants limit of 5000. Race admission is based on the fee payment date, not on the registration date.

8. Registration is possible via www.maratonwarszawski.com.

9. In order to complete the registration one has to fill in the electronic form and pay the starting fee.

10. Every participant of the 5 km race has to be over 15 years old (born before 29 September 1998). Underage runners are obliged to present a statement signed by a parent or legal guardian of the child's ability to participate in recreational and sports activities, agreeing to the child’s participation in the 5 km race and to take responsibility for him/her.


11. The starting fee is 40zł. It shall be remitted to the bank account of the Foundation “Maraton Warszawski” in BPH Bank – 77 1060 0076 00003200 0132 8704 with annotation “High Five Race”. The payment can be done also directly via website www.maratonwarszawski.com by Polcard system (card payment). The fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person.

12. The organizer provides: race number with a timing chip, a marathon T-shirt, drinks on the finish line and a medal.

13. Size of a T-shirt can be chosen only until 30 August.

14. Disabled people may be excused from the starting fee. To apply for such an exemption one should send a scan of a disabled person’s card as well as current medical certificate confirming the ability to participate in long distance races. Applications should be directed to until 23 September (or until the limit of race numbers is reached). The subject of the mail should consist of runner’s name and surname. Presentation of the medical certificate is a necessary condition.

15. A participant has to agree to all requirements of this statute and give consent to process his/her personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act dated 29.08.1997; Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland 2002 No 101, item 926 with further amendments. The organizer stipulates a right, also for entities connected to it, to make interviews with every participant, take photos and/or film, use names and surnames, images and voices as well as other materials from the race and related to the participation in the race for advertising and marketing purposes as well as any other commercial use with a right to modify them. The organizer stipulates also the right, also for its agents and entities connected to it, to gratuitous use all over the world any photos, films, interviews and sound recordings presenting participants of the race. This kind of photos, materials, interviews and recordings may be gratuitously recorded on any data carriers in catalogues and media, including TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, websites and exhibitions. They may be used for advertising and marketing purposes as well as any other commercial use related to the activity of the organizer. At the same time a participant acknowledges the possibility of changes, modifications and abbreviations related to name, image, voice and biographical information of a runner. A participant states that the organizer is not and will not be obliged to issue any fee related to the rights described in this point. A participant gives the organizer and related entities unlimited license to use his/her statements, information and ideas for any purpose without the obligation to inform or compensate the participant, especially for advertising and marketing purposes.

16. Race numbers and starting kits have to be collected in the Race Office: National Stadium, on Friday 27 September from 12:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday 28 September from 10:00 to 20:00. It is not possible to collect a race number on the race day.

17. During the race time will be measured electronically.

18. Race results will be published on www.maratonwarszawski.com.

19. The organizer provides changing rooms, deposits and toilets which are located on -4 level of the National Stadium – Gate 1 entrance from Zieleniecka Avenue.

20. The organizer does not provide showers.

21. The organizer provides accident insurance.

22. The organizer has an exclusive right to interpret the statute and modify it. Its decisions are final.
